I’ve been writing for over 15 years, but it wasn’t until 2010 that I decided to turn it into a proper career. Originally a graduate in Computing, my three year stint at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC as a Webmaster gave me an insight into the corporate world – something which I’ve been able to translate into my style of writing when working with corporate clients.
I also spent three years working in a classroom – something I loved and wanted to persue as a career. I decided to become a qualified teacher, but when my second child was born, I knew that I had to re-evaluate my options of where I was heading. Childcare costs were extortionate, so I naturally turned to writing – something that had been a passion of mine since high school.
I fell into copywriting almost by accident. Unsatisfied with the menial amounts I was earning writing articles, I discovered copywriting and never looked back. Trained by a top UK copywriter, my copywriting has allowed me to work with some stellar clients, and now work as a marketing consultant with businesses to increase their online presence.
Just one year on, I earn more part time than I did as a full time graduate, and the best bit is that I work from home around my toddler – it really matters that I’m at home for him at a time when he needs me most. I now specialize in the health and wellness and IM field and consult with clients from as far afield as Australia and the Middle East. I’ve worked with agencies such as Pronto and Ecoverbox.
I currently guest blog for the Direct Marketing blog which graces the likes of Clayton Makepeace, Drayton Bird and Michael Masterson!
